Bajos del Toro is one of Costa Rica’s most magical regions — full of misty mountains, dense jungle, and countless waterfalls that look like they belong in a dream. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and feel completely connected with nature.

For Whitney and Ben, this was exactly what they wanted for their elopement day — peace, privacy, and a breathtaking setting that felt truly theirs.
The day started early in the morning, as the first light began to appear over the rainforest. They got ready in a cozy Airbnb cabin tucked away in the green hills, enjoying the quiet and calm before the adventure. After a quick coffee and a few last touches, we packed up and began the 30–40 minute hike to the waterfall.
The trail was alive — the sound of birds, rushing streams, and soft light filtering through the trees. When we finally reached the waterfall, it was absolutely worth it. The sound of water filled the valley, and the morning mist created a magical atmosphere.
Their officiant led a simple, heartfelt ceremony. Just the two of them, standing in front of one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Costa Rica, promising forever. No distractions, no audience — just love and the power of nature around them.
After the ceremony, we spent some time exploring and taking photos near the waterfall — completely present in the moment. On the hike back, we stopped along the trail to capture a few more portraits surrounded by ferns and soft mountain light.
It was an unforgettable day — raw, peaceful, and full of emotion. The perfect example of what makes elopements in Costa Rica so unique.
