I am a Polish photographer and filmmaker who has been residing in Costa Rica since 2016. My specialization lies in wedding and elopement photography (many of you ask if I do engagements, couple portraits, family photos, proposals — and the answer is yes, of course!). If you're curious to know more, here’s the longer story of how my journey in photography began and why I chose Costa Rica as my place to call home.

From as far back as I can remember, my father had a passion for photography, using an old Soviet Zenit camera. Our home was filled with albums, loose photos, and beautiful portraits that we have cherished to this day. Following in my father's footsteps, I eventually purchased a roll of film and captured portraits in one of Krakow’s parks. That moment sparked everything. I later completed photography school and photographed several weddings in Poland, before temporarily stepping away to work in real estate.

Over the years, I visited my family in Costa Rica, and in 2016, I made the life-changing decision to turn my life around completely. I quit my job, packed my camera, and embarked on a journey to conquer Costa Rica. It was during this time that the idea for Papaya Wedding was born. My work allowed me to explore the entire country (and others), develop my style, and find immense satisfaction in what I do.

A few years ago, I met Jennifer, a talented photographer with an incredible eye for emotion. We became friends, and in 2023, while planning a vacation to Iceland, we spontaneously decided: “Hey, let’s elope there!” — and that’s how we officially became husband and wife.

While I'm behind the camera, I always see more, which led me to try my hand at filmmaking. I have been working on cinematography for some time now.

Costa Rica is my home.
As they say, home is where the heart is.
